Terms & Conditions

1.Competitions are open to UK residents aged 18 or over only.

2.Employees of Heron Foods, their immediate families, agencies or anyone professionally connected with the competition may not enter unless otherwise stated.

3.No purchase is necessary to enter.

4.Entry mechanics, opening dates and closing dates will be stated within each individual competition post.

5.Entries received after the stated closing date/time will not be counted.

6.Winners will be selected at random unless otherwise stated.

7.Winners will be contacted directly via the official Heron Foods social media account only. We will never ask winners for bank details or payment information.

8.If a winner does not respond within 48 hours, Heron Foods reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

9.Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered unless stated otherwise.

10.Heron Foods reserves the right to substitute prizes with another prize of equal or greater value if required.

11.By entering, participants confirm they have permission to use any submitted content and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.

12.Heron Foods reserves the right to remove or disqualify entries deemed inappropriate, offensive, fraudulent or not in line with the competition rules.

13.Competitions are in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or X (formerly Twitter).

14.By entering the competition, entrants agree to these Terms & Conditions and to the use of their name and social media handle for promotional purposes related to the competition.

15.Heron Foods reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw competitions at any time where necessary due to circumstances outside of its control.

16.Any personal data supplied during the course of a competition will only be processed in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation and Heron Foods’ privacy policy.

17.Entry into any Heron Foods social media competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

1. About the Scheme

The Heron Foods Savings Stamp Scheme allows customers to save towards future purchases by purchasing £1 savings stamps and collecting them on a Savings Card.
By purchasing savings stamps, customers agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Purchasing and Collecting Savings Stamps

2.1 Savings stamps are issued in denominations of £1 and may only be used as part of the Heron Foods Savings Stamp Scheme.
2.2 Savings stamps should be affixed to an official Heron Foods Savings Card.
2.3 A completed Savings Card containing 29 savings stamps has a redemption value of £30.
2.4 Savings stamps and Savings Cards remain the property of Heron Foods Limited at all times.

3. Redeeming Savings Stamps

3.1 Full or part-completed Savings Cards may be redeemed at any Heron Foods store at any time before the expiry date shown on the stamps.
3.2 Savings stamps may only be redeemed against the purchase of goods in Heron Foods stores.
3.3 Savings stamps cannot be redeemed against:

• National Lottery products
• Scratchcards
• Tobacco products
• Gift Cards
• Bill Payments
• PayPoint services
• Any other products or services excluded by law or by Heron Foods from time to time.

3.4 Savings stamps cannot be exchanged for cash.
3.5 No change will be given for part payment made using savings stamps.
3.6 If your purchase is less than the value of your savings card, the remaining balance will be issued on
a new savings card. If your purchase exceeds the value of the savings card, the difference must be
paid at the till.
3.7 If the value of a purchase exceeds the value of the Savings Card presented, the customer must pay the remaining balance using an accepted payment method.
3.8 Savings Cards cannot be partially redeemed. For example, a card containing 15 stamps cannot be redeemed for the value of 10 stamps.

4. Validity and Expiry

4.1 Savings Cards and stamps must be redeemed before the expiry date printed on the stamps.
4.2 Expired savings stamps and Savings Cards will not be accepted or exchanged.

5. Lost, Stolen or Damaged Cards

5.1 Savings stamps and Savings Cards should be treated as cash.
5.2 Heron Foods Limited accepts no responsibility for savings stamps or Savings Cards that are lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed.
5.3 Lost, stolen or damaged savings stamps or Savings Cards cannot be replaced, refunded or exchanged.

6. Customer Funds

6.1 Money paid for savings stamps is held by Heron Foods Limited in a separate account until redemption.
6.2 Funds held in connection with the Savings Stamp Scheme:

• Do not accrue interest.
• Are not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).

6.3 References within these Terms and Conditions to “your money” refer solely to money paid by customers for savings stamps purchased through the Scheme.

7. Misuse and Fraud

7.1 Heron Foods Limited reserves the right to refuse the redemption of any savings stamp or Savings Card which appears to have been altered, copied, damaged, forged, tampered with or otherwise obtained or used fraudulently.
7.2 Heron Foods Limited may withdraw, cancel or refuse participation in the Scheme where it reasonably suspects misuse, fraud or abuse of the Scheme.

8. Changes to or Withdrawal of the Scheme

8.1 Heron Foods Limited reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the Savings Stamp Scheme at any time.
8.2 Where the Scheme is withdrawn, Heron Foods will provide reasonable notice and an opportunity for customers to redeem valid savings stamps before the Scheme closes.

9. Privacy

9.1 Where customers choose to provide personal information in connection with the Savings Stamp Scheme, such information will be processed in accordance with Heron Foods’ Privacy Policy.
9.2 Personal information collected for marketing communications or promotional offers will only be used for those purposes and will not be sold to third parties.

10. General

10.1 Savings Cards are non-transferable and may not be pooled with savings stamps collected by other customers.
10.2 The value of a Savings Card is determined solely by the number and value of valid savings stamps affixed to it at the time of redemption.
10.3 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
10.4 Heron Foods Limited’s decision in relation to the operation of the Savings Stamp Scheme shall be final.
