Stores FAQ’s

Please see the bottom of your receipt for the store telephone number, or call the Heron Foods Store Support Centre on 0345 603 7300 and they will direct you to your local store. You can also use the Store Locator to find more information for your local store.

Members of the public should report accidents at the time of the incident within the store to the Store or Duty Manager.

If you think you’ve left an item in one of our stores, please complete our Contact Us form and include:

• The store name and location
• The date of your visit
• The approximate time you were in store
• A description of the lost item

We’ll contact the store and check whether the item has been handed in.
Alternatively, you can call our Store Support Centre on 0345 603 7300 and we’ll be happy to help.
Please note: While we will do our best to help locate lost items, Heron Foods cannot accept responsibility for personal belongings left in store.

If you would like to report concerns about a member of staff, please complete our Contact Us form and include the store location, date and time of your visit, and details of the incident.

Your comments will be forwarded to the relevant Area Manager and investigated in line with our internal policies and procedures.

If your Bag for Life has reached the end of its journey, simply bring it to any member of our in-store team and we will gladly replace it for you free of charge.

Our nominated charity

Cash for Kids is our nominated charity. We support its work by raising awareness, taking part in fundraising activities and encouraging colleagues and customers to get involved in local appeals. The money raised helps Cash for Kids provide grants, essential items, specialist equipment and practical support to children and young people who need it most. Our support is focused on making a positive difference in the communities we serve.

What ‘Cash for Kids’ fund

• Essential items for children experiencing poverty, including beds and bedroom items, clothing, school uniform, white goods and study equipment.
• Support for mental health and wellbeing, such as counselling, therapy, bereavement support and sensory equipment.
• Sports and physical wellbeing, including equipment, kit, venue hire, volunteer coaching and transport.
• Specialist equipment for children with disabilities or life-limiting illnesses, including mobility aids, specialist beds, communication aids and sensory equipment.
• Educational materials, activities and opportunities that help disadvantaged children participate and develop essential skills.
• Projects that promote equality, diversity and inclusion and benefit children in the wider community.

Can customers apply for support via Cash for Kids?

Applicants should visit the Cash for Kids grants page, select the appropriate grant and check the current eligibility criteria before applying. Applications must be submitted online and funding is not guaranteed.
