At the Heart of the Community
At Heron Foods, being a responsible retailer means more than offering great quality products at affordable prices. We are committed to supporting the communities we serve, operating responsibly and creating a positive impact for our customers, colleagues and the environment.
With over 340 stores across England and Wales, we are proud to be part of local communities throughout the country. Many of our stores are located on high streets and in neighbourhood shopping areas, helping to improve access to affordable food while supporting local economies and employment.
Supporting Local Communities
We believe in giving something back to the communities we serve. Through charitable partnerships, fundraising initiatives and support for local causes, we aim to make a meaningful difference to the lives of our customers and colleagues.
As we continue to invest in new and existing stores, we also create jobs and contribute to the long-term sustainability of local communities.
Operating Responsibly
We are continually looking for ways to improve how we operate across all areas of our business. This includes:
- Reducing our environmental impact
- Supporting responsible sourcing practices
- Maintaining high standards of product quality and food safety
- Promoting animal welfare within our supply chain
- Minimising waste wherever possible
- Operating in a safe, ethical and responsible manner
Our Colleagues
Our people are at the heart of everything we do. We recognise that our success depends on the dedication, commitment and hard work of our colleagues.
Our values of Staff, Service and Standards guide how we work every day. We encourage open communication, listen to feedback, recognise success and provide opportunities for colleagues to develop and grow within the business.
Our Customers
We remain focused on delivering great value, quality products and excellent service for our customers. By listening to customer feedback and continuously improving our offer, we strive to make shopping at Heron Foods easy, affordable and enjoyable for everyone.
This commitment underpins our purpose of helping customers make their money go further every day.
